PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland. PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

To manage procurement activities to support the underground mining operations and concentration processes. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating the acquisition of facilities, equipment, and goods required for efficient and cost-effective operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key accountabilities include:

• Developing and implementing procurement plans aligned with the operational needs of underground mining and concentration processes.
• Identifying and prioritising critical goods and facilities required for uninterrupted operations.
• Sourcing, evaluating and managing relationships with local, China and international suppliers specializing in underground mining equipment and concentration facilities.
• Ensuring suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Preparing, negotiating and overseeing contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Monitoring contract performance and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Tracking and managing procurement costs to ensure alignment with operational budgets.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborating with operations, engineering and logistics teams to align procurement activities with operational goals.
• Providing regular updates to management on procurement progress and challenges.
• Working closely with warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels
  for underground mining and concentration
  operations.
• Monitoring
  inventory usage and forecasting future
  procurement needs.
• Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts and performance metrics.
• Preparing reports and presentations for management on procurement outcomes and strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• Master degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised
  University.
• IELTS 6 and CET 6
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in top global manufacture(s) of underground heavy mining equipment, such as Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc, Komatsu, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in supply chain and logistics management in underground mining.
• Global working experience in underground automation and digitalization project.
• Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
• Experience working directly with Chinese and overseas suppliers and contribute to business.
