Job Overview: Relationship Officer, Personal Banking
DCB Bank is seeking a skilled and motivated Relationship Officer for its Personal Banking division. The role focuses on guiding clients, promoting financial products, ensuring high customer satisfaction, retaining existing clients, and driving new customer acquisition through proactive sales and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell personal banking products to attract deposits and expand the client base.

  • Source and manage current and savings account portfolios.

  • Identify and acquire new clients through referrals, leads, and cold calling while ensuring timely follow-ups and conversion.

  • Provide tailored advice to customers on banking products and services according to their financial needs.

  • Conduct marketing and promotional activities, including cross-selling of secured assets when appropriate.

  • Ensure compliance with due diligence, internal policies, and KYC regulations while opening new accounts.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent service.

  • Screen loan applicants for eligibility and prepare documentation in line with bank policies.

  • Conduct pre- and post-monitoring visits to ensure clients’ financial capability for repayments.

  • Meet weekly and monthly targets for deposits and disbursements.

  • Submit regular activity reports to the Branch Manager, including follow-ups and call details.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales and client management within the banking sector.

  • Knowledge of personal banking products, services, and regulatory requirements in Tanzania.

  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Strong customer-focused approach.
