Introduction
Thornhill Primary School, a leading private primary school in Botswana established in 1966, invites applicants who are passionate about educating children to be creative, independent, and motivated learners. The school has over 600 pupils from more than 30 nations and offers a nurturing environment for each child’s development.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Education or ICT
- Teaching qualifications such as PGCE
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Positions available: Class Teachers (Foundation Phase – Standard 7)
- Interactive Learning Programme Developer with knowledge of Cambridge Primary & Junior Secondary Checkpoints, experience in School Information Management System (SIMS)
- Google Teacher Level 1 & 2 Certification, knowledge of the Cambridge framework or experience in a CIE school
- Robotics and Coding knowledge, familiarity with Adobe Suite
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current ICT pedagogy in a primary school setting, including 3D printing
- For Foundation Phase applicants: understanding, knowledge, and experience of Early Years Development is an added advantage
Additional Requirements
- All teachers must be able to add value to the extra Curricular Programme
- Computer literacy is essential
